Coach License Courses

In a perfect world all coaches have the F and all travel coaches have the E license.  
 

WYSA encourages all of our coaches to take the Youth Soccer Coaching License Courses.  These coaching course are both educational and fun.  They will definitely make you a better coach, and improve the quality of youth soccer coaching in Westford.  The course fee will be reimbursed by WYSA (see Reimbursement below.)  

Massachusetts Youth Soccer offers different pathways for coaching education: The US Soccer Coaching License pathway, the NSCAA Coaching Diplomas, and the US Youth Soccer National Youth Certificate course. The pathway you choose is ultimately a personal preference, based on your level of experience, the age groups you are currently coaching, and the age groups you plan to coach in the future.

Note for existing G and F License Holders:  US Soccer has implemented their revised Coaching Education Pathway. The Coaching Education Pathway begins with the two-hour online F License course and concludes with the soon-to-be created Pro License.  ALL coaches who have not completed either the US Soccer National E License or National F License course must first complete the new US Soccer National F License, found here. ALL coaches who currently hold a Massachusetts F License received prior to June 1, 2015, will need to take the US Soccer National F License to move to the next level.  If you have any questions please email DirectorPlayerCoachDevelopment@westfordyouthsoccer.com

F LICENSE COACHING COURSE
The “F” license is a 2-hour course, conducted entirely online, intended for all parents and coaches of youth players. The focus of this grassroots course is to share U.S. Soccer’s best practices in creating a fun, activity-centered and age-appropriate environment for 5-8 year old players.
